This screw has a very thin head with a slight taper under the head. It should work well in caddies requiring a countersunk type of screw while still being thin enough to not stick above the sides of the caddy.

These screws are typically used for 2 1/2 inch hard drives and hard drive caddies of the type used in laptop computers.

The M3 diameter is used in 2.5" hard drives - laptop size.
